How It Works

Your Jewellery will be made by preparing / preserving your chosen keepsake, it will be set and encapsulated in High quality Jewellery grade resin.

Depending on your keepsake you will receive comprehensive packaging and sending instructions with you order confirmation via email.

Your jewellery will then be finished and polished to create a hand-crafted, unique item which will reflect the colour and individual properties of your keepsake.

Each item of jewellery I make is individually handcrafted rather than precisely machine manufactured, which is reflected in the organic nature of the items pictured on the site. There can be some natural variation specifically jewellery made with Breastmilk, including tiny milk bubbles, variation in colour and marbling which I believe adds to the individuality and charm of your chosen item.

I would recommend that breastmilk jewellery is worn as occasional rather than everyday jewellery, to ensure its longevity. I'm often asked if resin jewellery will discolour over long periods of time - in some cases it can - click here for more information and photos on this.

The Breastmilk jewellery process requires 20ml (0.6 US fluid ounces) of your fresh or frozen breastmilk per item. I recommend that you choose a postage option that allows you milk to arrive within 14 days. For further information on packaging and sending your milk please click here.

The Hair and Ash jewellery require very little of these items so I can work with what you have, even if it’s not that much.

I will notify you once your keepsake has been safely received, and your order will be completed and dispatched within 8 - 10 weeks of this date unless otherwise agreed (for complex bespoke orders).

Cotswold Keepsakes does not operate using a lead time.

Your jewellery will be carefully packaged and will be sent to you by Royal Mail Special Delivery.
